Sandra Bullock: Best Actress, Best Dressed.

Sandra Bullock gets my vote for best dressed at the Academy Awards this year. In her shimmery Marchesa gown with its beautiful bead detailing, and her Jimmy Choo heels, she looked absolutely fabulous! Her sleek hairstyle and bright lip gave her an almost 'Old Hollywood' look, which complemented the outfit beautifully. Bullock was definitely dressed to win with this dress, and with the perfect dress came the perfect win.

What did you think of Sandra Bullock's dress? Who was your pick for Best Dressed at the Oscars? As always let us know in the comments!

Expose or Dispose?: Oscars 2010

At many awards shows and premiere events, celebs often wear very daring outfits. While some leave us filled with jealously at how amazing they look, others make us think..."Wait, don't they have stylists?" Here we'll post some of the most daring and envelope-pushing outfits and you tell us what you think...should they be 'exposed' or 'disposed'?

The 82nd Academy Awards event was filled with memorable moments and surprises--both during the show and on the red carpet. There were many stars that stood out with their beautiful gowns and dashing tuxedos, but there were also those who stood out...for the wrong reasons. Let us know what you think of each outfit...expose or dispose?

Vera Farmiga wore a Marchesa gown that looked like it could envelop her in its ruffles. The fuchsia color was beautiful, but the cut and style of the dress would have difficulty flattering anyone. On the other hand, Robert Downey, Jr. is the only person who could have pulled off this outfit. The black tux was stylish enough for the Oscars, but Downey managed to insert his own fashion sense into the ensemble with a large turquoise bow and sneakers, showing his true colors. His wife, Susan Downey, complemented his outfit beautifully with turquoise accents on her dress.

Meryl Streep,
who has received the most Oscar nominations ever (16), looked dazzling in her white dress made by "Project Runway's" Chris March. The neckline was not too low to be inappropriate, but still added a sexy touch. And whoa! Big surprise with this one. Kristen Stewart looked amazing at the Oscars! A big change from her previous award show ensembles where she looked like she wanted to die (and not in the vampire sense). In her cobalt Monique Lhuillier gown, she looked radiant and definitely not as uncomfortable as usual.

Amanda Seyfried in her Armani Prive dress, shimmered. Her wedding-esque gown made her look almost angelic. Mariah Carey wore a dress that did not flatter her figure and made her look like she wants to be 20 again (which is not going to happen anytime soon). The Valentino Haute Couture dress might have been appropriate on Miley Cyrus, but on Ms. Carey-- it does not work. She's still a beautiful woman, she just needs to dress her age better.

Now on to the more daring outfits that you either loved or hated:
Zoe Saldana, Faith Hill, Jennifer Lopez and Charlize Theron. I have my comments for these too, but what do you think?

So there are my opinions on these Oscar outfits..what's yours? Was there a great ensemble that was left out? Let us know in the comments!

The Oscars 2010, A Night to Remember

From the moment the 82nd Academy Awards began, beautiful dresses and flattering tuxedos created an atmosphere of respect and dignity that the Academy Awards should contain. The hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, were a perfect pair: funny and charming. They kept the audience entertained from the start and never let the ball drop! Notable wins include for the Best Director Award, which was for the first time in Academy history, won by a female director. Kathryn Bigelow won that award, as well as Best Picture for "The Hurt Locker." Disney and Pixar's "UP" won the award of Best Animated Film, giving Pete Docter his first Oscar win. Sandra Bullock claimed the title of Best Actress for her performance in "The Blind Side," and Jeff Bridges won Best Actor for his role in "Crazy Heart." Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards went to Christoph Waltz and Mo'Nique, for their roles in "Inglourious Basterds" and "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire," respectively. As expected, these top stars all dazzled as they were accepting their awards, looking gorgeous in their gowns and handsome in their tuxedos.

The Closest Most of Us Will Get to an Oscar Dress

Let's be real here: the best part of the Oscars (besides maybe the award for Best Picture) is the red carpet. Every year, stars try and upstage one another wearing the best of the best in dresses, shoes, and accessories (or the worst - Bjork's swan dress will never be forgotten). Now through March 1, YOU can help choose an Oscar gown for one of the trophy presenters (don't get too excited, this means one of those people who comes and hands the winner the statuette, not the actor/producer presenting the award). You can find all nine options, designed by some of fashion's up-and-comers, on oscar.com. The winner will be announced during the pre-show on March 7.

Which one is your favorite? Tell us in the comments.

Speaking of New Careers

Getting your nails done by a tennis champ? Sounds like an ace to me. Serena Williams, 25-time Grand Slam champion, has set her sights on a new goal: become a certified nail technician. That's right, you heard me correctly. Williams has such an obsession with manicures (she goes every four days!!) that she's enrolled at the Palm Beach Nail School to learn how to polish properly. Though I can't really fault her for her nail polish love, it does seem a little odd for a woman worth more than 30 million dollars to be on this particular career path. Serena had this to say: "Don't be surprised if you hear about a part-time job I've picked up at a local nail salon."

Looks like she has a back-up plan if the whole tennis thing goes out the window.
